Our Vision

The HCT wishes to see viable populations of all  amphibian and reptile species distributed throughout their natural range, functioning as important parts of their habitats and robust to environmental change. These will be understood and valued by everyone, make a contribution to people’s quality of life and further their appreciation of the natural environment.

Our Mission

The Herpetological Conservation Trust’s Mission is to improve the conservation status of reptiles and amphibians in the wild and while focussing on the British Isles, we will work to this end in Europe, the United Kingdom’s Crown Dependencies, Overseas Territories and Sovereign bases and elsewhere in the World.
