The UK's Reptiles

Below is a list of our native reptiles with links to more detail about each of them.

Our native reptiles include three lizards and three snakes. Only one of the latter is venomous. In addition, one of the marine turtles is frequently found in our waters and can be regarded as native.

The final item "Other Reptiles" includes the main alien species which have become established in the UK through release (now illegal) or accidentally - for example, escapes from captivity.
